This name of Jesus is one to cling to! Hold fast to Him, sisters, and rest knowing that He speaks on your behalf.
It's especially meaningful this time of year as we consider His sacrifice. In my Lenten reading, I ran across Jesus on trial before Pilate. He was 100% innocent and yet He allowed Himself to be subjected to such inhumane treatment. He did this with an end goal in mind - you and me. He needed to do this so that He could be our Advocate and speak in our defence. He has made satisfactory payment for your sin and justice has been served.
Your assignment this week is to workout.
What?!
Practice moving your pointer finger in and out so that you'll be ready for your court date and you'll be ready to point to Jesus when the Judge asks what you have to say for yourself.
Oh, and read John 18:28-40 this week and contemplate how the One on trial is now the One who speaks for our defence!
