About the monkey

So you're probably wondering what's with the monkey picture. Wayne did that after I posted my last update. That would be one of the wild monkey's we saw on our outing to the countryside yesterday. We were told to not have food out especially around the babies because of the wild monkey's in this park. We didn't see them at first but then they all came out at the end and they were horrible. There faces were red and their butts were gross. I took Zanna to the bus as fast as I could and changed her diaper there. I threw it in the trash outside and the monkeys had a field day with it. NO thanks.
thanks so much for all the comments and emails we've been getting. It's such a blessing to have so many people care for us and our family. Ruth, you're story about Will saying he's Chinese is too funny! And thanks, Melissa, for having Will over and for all your thoughtful suggestions. Will seems to be doing well with Oma and Opa and we're so thankful to my Mom and Dad for taking such good care of him. We've seen them a few times on the webcam and they've got to see Zanna. Technology today is pretty cool!
Yes, Robin and Nicole, there is Pizza Hut. NOt the same menu as in North America but it was a little taste of home. Otherwise, we've been enjoying the Chinese food here. There is a restaurant around the corner of the hotel that is fantastic. Wayne is in heaven when he has their dumplings. Everything we've had from there has been good. The hotel breakfast buffet is very nice to - we fill up on eggs, bread, etc.
I haven't mentioned the bathrooms yet. It's a topic all unto itself. They are worse than a portapottie. They are holes you squat over. NO toilet paper. We were warned of this and took plenty of kleenex for such a situation. In our hotels, however, they are North American standards so we try to hold it if we can.
Zanna update - she slept in her crib all night. I had the whole bed to myself (we have twin beds in here). She's even napping now! I won't be posting tonight. We leave for Beijing this evening and not expected to get in until really late. Early in the morning we have medical exams scheduled for the babies. It'll be a rough 24hours or so. The plane ride to Beijing is a bit over 3hours. Good practise for our 13 hour flight next week. Yikes.
I'll update when we get settled in Beijing tomorrow night.

I can't wait for the "in person" stories and to actually see your face as you describe things. The girls were happy you wrote something to them. They are now very concerned about these "wild" monkeys and will be praying for protection. They really make me laugh. Keep your eyes to the Lord, you're one day closer to home. Ruth
