Today marks the one week mark with Zanna Rou. What a week it's been! As we look at not only our own child but others around us, we are amazed at the progress of the babies and how adaptable they are. I say this not to lesson the tramatic experience they've had but to admire the adaptability GOd has given them. We know that we are just beginning the transitions in her life but are encouraged by how she and the others have responded so far.
This was the first morning we didn't have anything planned which worked out well considering Zanna didn't go to bed until a bit later the night before and slept in and that Wayne was feeling a bit under the weather. We had a webcam date with Will and Mom and Dad at 8:30 am, went to breakfast and had a free morning. Zanna and I headed out to the Silk market with friends from our group to get out of the hotel room to let Wayne sleep. Everyone seems to be coming down with something at this point, I suppose since our immune systems are weakened by lack of sleep and regular meals. He's feeling better now thankfully but is stuffed up.
In the afternoon we took the bus to a different market - one that has similar stuff but not so in your face. We had a successful trip and Zanna got 4 pairs of Stride Rite shoes for about 8 bucks each out of the deal along with a few other goodies.
Not much more to report today. Pretty uneventful. We took a few steps back with Wayne today probably because we weren't around him much this morning. Oh, well. We'll keep working on it.

Hi guys, Don't worry about the step back with Wayne. Having three girls, I can tell you, "It's a girl thing" My girls still always want to be with me. I think they know I "get" them. Don't get me wrong they love their dad especially outside a Pearl factory, but mom really gets the "girl thing" Hang in there Wayne, things are just balancing out at the Halldorson's, two for the girls!!!Ruth
Hi Wayne and Rachel, I may have figured out how to blog. Its been great following your journey and we can't wait to meet Hosanna. We will be arriving in Ottawa on the 2nd and will get a car at the airport. Love Jake and Fran.
